I'm a guitar player from Finland. At the moment I play in the bands Deathlike Silence and Conquest. This website is dedicated to my solo stuff. I have a digital album out called Unintelligent Leftovers, which, as the name implies, is a leftover record from the Unintelligent Designs sessions (thank you to Jannika for pointing out that I'd spelled "album" wrong). Unintelligent Designs is a my debut solo record, and was released late in the summer of 2012 (not 69). It has received extremely good reviews so far.
I enjoy all manner of music, from classical to extreme metal. My influences are some of the usual suspects, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen Steve Lukather, and Gary Moore, along with a few other (some maybe surprising) guitar players, Jeff Beck, Danny Gatton, Vlatko Stefanovski. These are maybe my main influences as far as guitar playing goes, but musically I have a whole host of other influences, who are maybe more important in many ways. These include Devin Townsend, Genesis, Pekka Pohjola, and many of the wonderful people I've played with. This list could be made to stretch through infinity.
I use Sale Custom guitars and a certain brand of amp that goes to 11, plus the occasional Fractal Audio Axe-FX. I also use speech to convey meanings occasionally, and sometimes I even get used. I don’t mind this, provided that it’s in a nice way.
Other than music I enjoy reading books. The kind that are printed on paper. You remember those, right? I read books by Immanuel Kant, David Hume, Douglas Adams, J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, and other people who can write too. I also enjoy a good game of footy with the lads, or just watching it on the telly.
