   Lena Mashkina was born September 29, 1984 in Syktyvkar, Russia. At the age of 6 years she went to music school, violin class. By the age of 15 Lena began to learn to play guitar on her own, and within a few years she was the leader of the teen ensemble "July" and the youth group "Helen Blues Band." As part of those collaborations Lena has won many competitions.

   Since 2007 Lena has taught guitar at the Center of Further Education. In 2008, she started practicing tapping, and after only 3 months played her first concert.

   Lena now acts as a two-handed tapping guitarist, and is preparing to record her original work.

Лена Машкина родилась 29 сентября 1984 года в городе Сыктывкаре, Россия. В
возрасте 6 лет пошла в музыкальную школу по классу скрипки. В возрасте 15 лет
начала самостоятельно учиться играть на гитаре. Несколько лет была лидером
подросткового ансамбля  "Июль" и молодежной группы "Хелен Блюз Банд".

В
составе этих коллективов является лауреатом множества конкурсов.
C 2007 работает учителем гитары в центре дополнительного образования.
В 2008 году начала заниматься двуручным тэппингом. Через 3 месяца уже состоялся
первый концерт.
Сейчас Лена выступает как тэппинг-гитаристка, готовит к записи
оригинальные произведения.
