      Rafael Flores has done recitals, concerts, and lectures on electric guitar tapping, and technical studies:  He is a master guitarist in the contemporary study of the instrument, music theory, harmony, and a guitarist at the Institute of SUTM.
   
       He has extensive musical training in improvisation, and composition in jazz guitar. Rafael Flores is affiliated with the National Arts Center, and has worked with the teachers. Dana is one of them.

       Rafael self-taught himself for about 20 years, in three stages. first learning arrangements from guitarist Stanley Jordan off of disk.  Secondly developing his own arrangements based on harmony and improvisation skills acquired from the points mentioned above. Thirdly Rafael currently performs inventions, adapting two voices JS Bach, and other works by the same composer, as well as new arrangements of Mexican music.
